Located in the iconic Plaza Las Flores building, Oscar’s has been a vibrant part of Downtown Palm Springs since opening its doors in March 2013.

A new chapter began in the fall of 2016 when Dan Gore took ownership, bringing a fresh vision and transforming Oscar’s into one of the most diverse entertainment venues in the city. Since then, Oscar’s has hosted an impressive lineup of events and celebrity appearances, becoming a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike.

Oscar’s offers a unique blend of dining, entertainment, and nightlife. The venue’s weekly tea dance draws crowds from around the globe to its stunning open-air courtyard. In June 2023, Oscar’s made headlines by reuniting the cast of the beloved TV drama DALLAS, further cementing its status as a hub for unforgettable experiences.

A full-service restaurant and bar, Oscar’s is renowned for its popular Bitchiest Brunch drag shows, live music, cabaret performances, and high-profile headliner events. Over the years, Oscar’s stage has welcomed an impressive roster of talent, including Sandra Bernhard, Melissa Manchester, Lanie Kazan, Barbara Eden, Richard Chamberlain, Angie Dickinson, La Toya Jackson, Tiffany, Lisa Lisa, Lindsay Wagner, Priscilla Presley, and many others. Oscar’s also had the honor of hosting Dionne Warwick’s 81st birthday celebration and sponsoring her star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.

Not only have numerous celebrities graced its stage, but many have also been spotted dining and relaxing at Oscar’s. Esteemed guests have included David Foster, Katharine McPhee Foster, Kristin Chenoweth, Billy Gibbons, Katy Perry, Billy Porter, Lucie Arnaz, Beverly Johnson, and Bob Mackie, to name a few.

A Historic Connection with Plaza Theatre

Oscar’s shares a rich history with the adjacent Plaza Theatre. In 1990, the legendary Palm Springs Follies, produced by Riff Markowitz, opened at the Plaza Theatre. As the Follies gained popularity, Markowitz expanded operations into the Plaza Las Flores building—where Oscar’s now resides—transforming it into a hub for headliner dressing rooms, costume storage, rehearsal spaces, and production offices.

During fundraising efforts to reopen the Plaza Theatre, Oscar’s played a vital role by hosting artists participating in events like the Oasis Music Festival and the Rock the Plaza Fundraiser Concert. The venue even provided rehearsal spaces and catering for iconic performers, including Alice Cooper.

Today, Oscar’s stands as the anchor tenant of the Plaza Las Flores building, utilizing much of the space to host corporate events, concerts, and its signature weekly gatherings. The restaurant and bar also serve as a popular spot for theatergoers attending performances at the nearby Plaza Theatre.

With the legacy of the Plaza Theatre’s stars still lingering in its walls, Oscar’s continues to honor that history while soaring to new heights—offering world-class entertainment, delicious dining, and unforgettable memories in the heart of Palm Springs.
